Lucia Wilson
Lucia Wilson was on a break from college while she tried to decide on a major, when her 4 year old nephew Jonathin got sick. While in the hospital fighting for his life, Lucia was inspired by the hard work of the hospital staff, and how beneficial they were to Jonathin's survival as well as his recovery process. It was shortly after that that she returned to school and graduated with an associates degree in nursing. She now works in the trauma unit at another hospital in the same network as the one that saved Jonathin's life. Lucia brings her first hand experience with helping an amputee heal, both physically and emotionally, to her job, and to the ODS team. She is amazed by the strength and resolve that Jonathin not only has himself, but encourages in others, and she hopes to further promote that positivity through her work with Operation Dez Strong.
